ABSTRACT WORKS

THE LADY

This painting made with oil pastel is a work that I made after a visit to the art gallery.
I discovered many paintings including one that was the most outstanding among others. It was the painting of a woman with a melancholic face but still her beauty was present. Therefore, I decided to create my own perspective of a woman with still life.
Coupled with my unique style and a variety of  tonalities of colors, I managed to create “The Lady".
Above all, what attracted me in this painting is the message it conveys. We can understand that there is a woman with a decent composure and who shows her beauty as a result to hide her suffering. In short, this painting hides an important message that says, "Always show one’s strength despite being weak interiorly".

IN HARMONY

This painting was inspired by a famous local painter known as Vaco Baissac. His  unique style has motivated me in making “In Harmony” but to deliver a message as well. Actually, the painting shows the island of Mauritius where both flora and fauna are co-existing in harmony. We can observe the Lion Mountain, the sea , the sand and also the endemic animals of this island .The dodo is now extinct but his presence in the drawing means that without hunting or other atrocious human activities, the bird would have still been living.
If I was to bring an amelioration, I would probably add more dodos to really bring attention about their abundance  in the past and the lack of dodos today.

THE BLUESPACE

This is a geometric representation of a room. In this room there is a door( the black rectangle),  some windows( the white spaces), tiles and  two adjacent  walls.
As a designer or an architect it is important to adopt a unique style which can make a difference among other competitors. On my side, geometry and abstract art make up my unique style and help me to achieve this masterpiece, “TheBlueSpace”.
If I was to change something in this piece of art, I would probably add some furniture to give the feeling of seeing  an occupied room with life in it.

STILL LIFE ON A PEDESTAL TABLE

As a growing up student, I have been inspired by famous painters and one of them was, Pablo Picasso.
Since abstract art makes up part of my singularity, I found profound admiration for one of his most notorious paintings, “Still Life on a Pedestal Table” that he made in 1931.  I sought to give him homage by re-creating his masterpiece nonetheless with my own tone of colors.
In fact, Pablo Picasso had his own unique style of art known as “Cubism” at the beginning of the 20th century since there was no abstract art before. Gradually, he changed his style and he is considered today as the pioneer of abstract art.
